About the Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their finance team in Kimberley . This hybrid role will involve managing key accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting financial reporting processes. You will play a vital role in month-end and year-end close activities, reconciliations, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS.
Manage general ledger functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring financial performance against plan.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.




Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement solutions.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
Solid understanding of IFRS, financial reporting principles, and South African tax laws.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
