Enhance student learning as a Teaching Assistant for MECH 3502 at the University of Manitoba, starting January 2027. You'll support course delivery, engage students, and facilitate assessments in this part-time position.
This Teaching Assistant role requires familiarity with Stress Analysis & Design content and strong communication skills in English. With a commitment of 4.8 hours weekly and a competitive hourly rate, you will be integral in supporting the learning journey of undergraduate and graduate students. Your role includes preparing instructional materials, marking assignments, and providing office hours for student consultations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend planning meetings and coordinate with course staff
• Assist in lectures and instructional sessions as needed
• Prepare handouts, tests,
and instructional materials
• Mark student assignments and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain scheduled consultation hours for student support
Requirements:
• Completion of relevant academic studies or experience
• Empathetic approach to student needs
• Effective English communication skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Enrollment as a full time student at the University of Manitoba
