Job Summary:
Responsible for the organization and management of the nursing unitensuring Ocean View's standards for quality care are maintained, under thedirection of the Neighbourhood Manager.
Qualifications:
Current registration with theNova Scotia Nursing and Midwifery Regulator.




Bachelor or Nursing Degree orNursing Administration Course (preferred).
Three (3) years geriatric nursingexperience.
Demonstrated administrativeexperience and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively as acontributing team member
Demonstrated knowledge of thenursing process, nursing diagnosis, excellent clinical assessment skills andproblem solving
Demonstrated supervisory andinterpersonal communication skills *written and oral)
Ability to work a 24-hour shiftrotation on any nursing unit.
Knowledge and experience inVenipuncture (preferred)
Ability to attend work on aregular and consistent basis

Salary Range: In accordance with the Collective Agreement between Ocean View Manor andOcean View Manor Local of the Nova Scotia Nurse's Union.
Rotation: Days/Evenings/Nights: All Shift Hours
