**Job Title: Production Operator**
**Job Description**
The Production Operator manufactures and assembles fuel cell components in a state-of-the-art pilot production facility, working on both automated and manual production lines in a cleanroom environment.

This contract role is initially for six months with the potential to be extended and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the production of advanced fuel cell stacks while gaining experience with precision manufacturing processes and documentation.
**Responsibilities**
Produce fuel cell components in accordance with detailed work instructions and established procedures.

Assemble plates and stacks to create the final fuel cell component products, ensuring accuracy and quality at each step.

Operate equipment on both automation and manual production lines, including machine operation and basic robotics automation tasks as required.

Set up production equipment according to work instructions, verifying correct configuration before use.

Perform visual inspection of parts at multiple stages of the production process to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.

Support logistics by transporting and moving parts and materials according to production needs and workflow requirements.

Maintain a clean and organized working area and ensure equipment is cleaned regularly in line with cleanroom standards.

Create clear and accurate documentation of processes, production activities, and any issues encountered during manufacturing.

Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay current with processes, safety practices, and production updates.

Work effectively across different production stations, including those with increasing levels of complexity and responsibility.

Follow all cleanroom protocols, including proper use of provided garments and personal protective equipment.

Collaborate with team members and contribute to a supportive and efficient production environment.
**Essential Skills**
At least 1 year of recent experience in a similar production or technical work environment, or relevant experience in a technical role.

Technically experienced with the ability to understand and follow detailed work instructions and equipment setup procedures.

Experience in production, assembly, general production work, or machine operation, ideally within a cleanroom or controlled environment.

Ability to perform visual inspections and recognize defects or deviations from specifications.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to document processes and interact with team members and supervisors.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams for communication and documentation.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of material handling and logistics support.

Willingness to work on different production stations and adapt to varying levels of complexity and responsibility.

Robust organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to operate machines safely and efficiently.

Access to a vehicle for reliable transportation to shift-based work.

Previous cleanroom experience, particularly in environments with controlled humidity and temperature.

Direct industry experience in fuel cell manufacturing, electronics, pharmaceutical, or medical-related production.

Ability and willingness to work afternoons, nights,



and potentially weekends based on production needs.

Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and inclusive environment.

High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and priorities.

**Work Workplace**
This role is based in a cleanroom production environment focused on manufacturing fuel cell stacks using both automated and manual lines.

Relative humidity is controlled between approximately 3540% RH within a narrow band at temperatures below about 20°C (70°F), creating a stable and controlled atmosphere suitable for precision manufacturing.

Shifts include an afternoon shift (approximately 2:15 p.m.10:45 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.11:00 p.m., Monday to Friday) and a night shift (approximately 10:30 p.m.7:00 a.m., Monday to Friday).

Training typically occurs on a day shift (around 6:30 a.m.3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday), with flexibility to accommodate training on the afternoon shift if needed.

Scheduling can be adjusted between longer blocks (for example, four weeks on mornings followed by four weeks on afternoons) or shorter rotations such as two-week intervals, depending on preference and operational requirements.

The dress code consists of comfortable clothing, with reimbursement available for approved safety footwear.

The facility provides and requires wearing coveralls, hairnets, safety glasses, and gloves to maintain cleanroom standards.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Burnaby, BC.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.44 - $21.44/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
