**Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic**
**Job Description**
This role focuses on performing critical maintenance and inspection tasks on aircraft, including B and C checks, landing gear retraction and extension operations, fuel system installation and testing, and flight control rigging.

The position requires strong technical expertise in aircraft maintenance and a commitment to safety, precision, and adherence to regulatory standards.
**Responsibilities**
Perform B and C checks on assigned aircraft in accordance with maintenance manuals, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.

Carry out landing gear retraction and extension tests, ensuring proper function, safety, and compliance with operational standards.

Install, inspect, and test aircraft fuel systems, verifying integrity, performance, and adherence to all applicable regulations.

Conduct flight control rigging, including adjustment, alignment, and verification of control systems to ensure optimal aircraft performance.

Apply aircraft maintenance engineering practices, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on airframes and systems.

Complete engine run tasks on applicable aircraft, following established procedures and safety protocols.

Document all maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly in maintenance records and logs.

Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to coordinate work, share information, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Follow all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures while working on aircraft and in the maintenance facility.

Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes by identifying issues and suggesting practical solutions.
**Essential Skills**
Proven experience in aircraft maintenance with hands-on involvement in B and C checks.

Demonstrated ability to perform landing gear retraction and extension operations safely and accurately.

Experience with fuel system installation and testing on aircraft.

Competence in flight control rigging, including adjustment and verification of control systems.

Experience performing engine runs on CL215 or CL415 aircraft is preferred.

Strong understanding of aviation safety standards, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical manuals, maintenance documentation, and engineering instructions.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in performing technical tasks and completing documentation.

Capability to work 10-hour shifts and adapt to varying schedules based on aircraft maintenance needs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience working on CL215, CL415, or Dash-8 aircraft is considered an asset.

Willingness to attend an endorsement course if transitioning to a permanent role.

Flexibility to work different shifts, including midnight and evening schedules.

Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a maintenance environment.





Ability to adapt to changing aircraft schedules and operational priorities.

**Work Workplace**
The work environment is centered around an active aircraft maintenance facility with a focus on safety, precision, and collaboration.

Shifts typically run either from approximately 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. or from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with flexibility in shift timing as long as 10-hour shifts are maintained.

Over time, there may be an opportunity to move to day shifts depending on aircraft schedules and operational requirements.

The setting involves working in and around hangars and aircraft, using standard aviation maintenance tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments, and following established maintenance and safety procedures at all times
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Mississauga,ON.
