Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Data Integration Engineer to analyze source data, validate new data requirements, and create the source-to-target mapping (STTM) documentation that drives enterprise data integration pipelines.

This individual will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to assess data quality, evaluate the impact of new requirements, and define transformation logic using dimensional and Data Vault modeling principles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and profile source data, identifying data quality issues, gaps, and anomalies.
- Perform impact and feasibility assessments for new data requirements and document required design changes.
- Create and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documentation.
- Define transformation logic using dimensional modeling and Data Vault methodologies.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure requirements are validated and clearly documented prior to development.
- Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements
- 3-4+ years of experience in data analysis, data integration, data warehousing, or a related data engineering discipline.
- Experience with data analysis, data profiling, and data quality assessment.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, including facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schemas, and slowly changing dimensions.
- Working knowledge of Data Vault concepts, including hubs, links, and satellites.
- Experience performing impact analysis on data models and systems.
- Hands-on experience creating Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documentation.




- Robust SQL skills with experience analyzing large datasets.
- Ability to assess requirement feasibility and communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.

Tech Stack:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Event Hubs
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Logic Apps
- Snowflake Snowsight
- Azure Dev

Ops or similar CI/CD tools
- Cloud storage services such as Azure Blob Storage
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or other cloud data platforms.
- Exposure to data governance, lineage, and metadata management tools.
- Experience with data profiling tools and automated data quality frameworks.
- Experience supporting enterprise data warehouse or large-scale data integration initiatives.
