Job Description
Modernize the desktop application test automation solution by converting existing UFT/QTP scripts to a maintainable FlaUI framework built with C#/.NET.

The consultant will use AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to accelerate script conversion, refactoring, debugging, and stabilization while preserving the intended test coverage.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a reusable FlaUI test automation framework for Windows desktop applications using C#/.NET.
- Assess existing UFT/QTP assets and migrate applicable scripts to FlaUI without losing required business scenarios or test coverage.
- Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude to support code generation, conversion, refactoring, troubleshooting, and documentation, with appropriate review and validation of generated code.
- Create and maintain reliable, data-driven automated tests that support multiple scenarios and languages.
- Manage automation source code in Azure Dev

Ops, including repositories, branching practices, pull requests, and pipeline execution.
- Integrate automated tests with Azure Dev

Ops pipelines and publish clear, traceable execution results.
- Perform test data management activities, including selecting, creating, updating, and deleting data required for test execution.
- Develop and use advanced SQL queries and scripts to analyze application data, identify suitable records, and prepare or validate test data.
- Stabilize migrated scripts, resolve execution issues, improve maintainability, and complete a structured handover of the framework, scripts, and supporting knowledge
Skills and Requirements




- Robust hands-on experience with C# and .NET development.
- Demonstrated experience automating Windows desktop user interfaces, preferably with FlaUI.
- Practical knowledge of UFT/QTP and the ability to interpret and modernize legacy automation scripts.
- Proficiency with Azure Dev

Ops Repos, branches, pipelines, Test Plans, and test-result reporting.
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and test data setup.

Experience developing multilingual, data-driven automated test solutions.
- Solid working knowledge of AI-assisted software development tools and the judgement to validate, refine, and safely apply AI-generated automation code.
- Ability to work independently with an existing automation estate and deliver maintainable solutions, documentation, stabilization support, and knowledge transfer.
