**Job Title: Construction Technician**
**Job Description**
The Construction Technician refurbishes, repairs, and prepares modular units when they return to the shop, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for use.

This role also supports the setup of units as needed and performs a variety of construction and renovation tasks, primarily within a comfortable, climate-controlled bay.
**Responsibilities**
Clean and refurbish modular units upon return to the shop, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.

Perform minor construction and renovation tasks on modular units, including putting up interior walls and other light carpentry work.

Repair and maintain components of the units, such as fixing wheels and addressing basic structural or cosmetic issues.

Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for construction, renovation, and repair tasks.

Assist with setup and installation of modular units when required, including occasional work outside the shop.

Carry out basic framing, carpentry, and other general construction activities as needed.

Support minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related tasks under appropriate guidance when applicable.

Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area within the construction bay.

Collaborate with a small shop team to complete daily work orders and meet project timelines.

Adapt to various tasks and priorities throughout the day, taking on different responsibilities as needed.
**Essential Skills**
Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and similar basic tools.

Experience using common power tools in a construction or renovation environment.

Prior exposure to construction job sites or environments where renovations are being performed.

Basic renovation experience, including tasks such as framing and light carpentry.

Ability to perform minor construction work, such as putting up interior walls within modular units.

Capability to complete basic repair tasks, including fixing wheels and addressing simple mechanical issues.

Understanding of general construction practices and protected tool usage.

Willingness and ability to work both inside the shop bay and occasionally outdoors as needed.
**Work Setting**
The role is primarily based in a construction bay that is air-conditioned and designed to be comfortable for daily work.

You will work closely with a small shop team, consisting of only a few colleagues,



which fosters a cooperative and supportive atmosphere.

Most tasks take place indoors in the bay, with occasional work outside as needed to support unit setups or other activities.

The position follows a day shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours in a stable, shop-based setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Innisfil, ON.
**Pay and Advantages**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Innisfil,ON.
