Duties
Provides administrative, financial, and operational support services for police officers and other employees at a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) detachment. Provides front counter and telephone assistance, services and information to the general public.
Work environment
The work is being performed in a police detachment environment. This results in occasional exposure to intoxicated, mentally unstable, hostile and potentially violent individuals to victims of crime or relatives of accident victims who may be distraught. The work is performed in an open office workplace. It involves tight deadlines, time pressures, frequent interruptions, conflicting priorities and multiple demands from staff, callers and visitors.
Intent of the process
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.This process will be used to staff one indeterminate full-time position in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
A qualified pool of candidates may be established and used to staff similar positions with various tenures.Candidates who have been assessed within the past 12 months will not be considered until the 12 month period has elapsed.
