Position Summary:
101 Street Apartments is a Community Residential Facility (CRF) funded by the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) and operated by enCompass Community Safety Agency. The CRF works with high risk adults who were assigned male at birth, with various psychiatric disorders and physical disabilities, who are on release in the community, under the authority of Parole Board Canada. Our goal is to assist and support clients in their transition from incarceration to community living. Shift Workers are an important part of the multidisciplinary treatment team and contributes knowledge, expertise, and experience to the successful treatment of a high-risk, high need client base.

The Coordinator will oversee the evening operations of 101 st Apartments, including client care, case management, and staff supervision. They will assist the team in the onsite delivery of services in a multi-disciplinary team environment, and support the overall risk management of higher-acuity clients released from the justice system. Risk management will be in partnership with CSC with the overall goals of client, staff, and community safety.



The Coordinator will also support the Team Lead in program and policy implementation, and in the monitoring of operational and evaluative aspects of the program.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the program, including staff scheduling, payroll approvals, record keeping, and participation in the after-hours on-call rotation as required.

Supervise and support program staff through regular communication, feedback, coaching, training, and performance management.

Support recruitment, retention, onboarding, and other staffing activities in collaboration with Human Resources.

Ensure program services are delivered in accordance with Agency, funder, legislative, privacy, safety, and risk-management requirements.

Monitor program expenditures and support accurate, timely financial documentation within approved budgets.

Maintain accurate program data, records, reporting tools, and quality-improvement processes, including client and stakeholder feedback.

Support implementation of Agency philosophy, strategic priorities, and program goals while contributing to a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

Build and maintain positive relationships with funders, community partners, stakeholders, neighbours, and other collaborators.

Participate in leadership meetings, Agency activities, and continuous improvement initiatives, while remaining current with relevant sector practices and emerging trends.

Qualifications / Skills:

Diploma in a related human services field

1-3 years of experience with program oversight and supervising front-line employees





1-3 years of experience working with high-risk individuals and/or high-need populations

A combination od education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above

Proven ability to provide leadership, and direction, and establish a positive culture for a team

Proven ability to maintain composure and effectively manage crises

Proven ability for written and verbal communication

Competency in current evidence-based practices in relation to the applicable scope of work, mental health, and addictions

Cutting-edge, self-motivated and inclined to go above and beyond

Proven ability to receive feedback

General computer and database knowledge (Microsoft Work, Excel, Outlook)

Clear Criminal Record Check, Enhanced Reliability Screening and valid First Aid/CPR

A criminal record will not disqualify you from employment with us; we evaluate each application individually

When occasional business use is required, a reliable vehicle with, valid Class 5 Driver’s License $2 million liability is required

Conditions of Employment:

This position is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, day and evening shifts. Hours can be flexible depending on program needs.

The position requires frequent standing, walking up and down stairs, and occasional lifting.
