Make a difference with The Brenda Strafford Foundation as a Child and Youth Development Specialist. This permanent full time role focuses on creating enriching programming for children and youth in a safe, supportive environment.
In this role at Heart Home Network, you will lead developmentally appropriate activities for ages 0-18, supporting their growth and well-being. Your expertise in child development will be vital as you foster emotional well-being, encourage healthy relationships, and maintain safety in programming. You will also engage with diverse children and youth, adapting activities to meet individual needs and backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan engaging activities for children 0-12 years old
• Facilitate youth programming for ages 8-18
• Build positive relationships with children and caregivers
• Conduct developmental assessments and observations
• Collaborate with staff to provide consistent care
Requirements:
• Degree in Early Childhood Development or Social Work
• One year of relevant experience
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Police security clearance and child intervention check
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract
