Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a growing Beamsville based manufacturing company that specializes in engineering and building modular buildings (e-houses), Switchgear, and Portable Substations. The Mechanical Designer and Drafter will be a key player in the Engineering and Product Development department. This is a full time, permanent, Direct Hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

Review customer specifications and provide sound Mechanical design for custom switchgear, modular buildings (E-Houses), protection and control

Produce mechanical drawings, bill of materials, design instructions to the production team for fabrication and assembly

Adhere to engineering design procedures, those set by the company and ISO9001 QA program

Assist quotation department with design feasibility and cost estimates

Create accurate engineering and electrical drawings (AC & DC Schematics, 3-line diagrams)

Prepare comprehensive wiring diagrams for electrical equipment, power substations according to project objectives and design information





Participate in design process by supporting all other Engineers, Designers, and the Owners of the company

Skills for Success

1-4 years of experience with Engineering Design, common practices, procedures, and standard concepts

Familiarity with power electrical equipment

Ontario Building Code and Electrical Code knowledge

Strong teamwork skills

Experience in drafting, CAD, proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technologist or Technician or Bachelor's Degree

Knowledge in production processes with electrical products

Schedule

Monday – Friday in-office position

7:00am – 3:30pm

Wages

$59,000 - $68,000 annual salary DOE
