**Job Title: Apprentice Electrician
Day Shift**
**Job Description**
This role focuses on supporting the construction and commissioning of a large, highdensity data center.
You will work on a live industrial/commercial job site during the buildout stage, starting with ground work such as laying and gluing pipe, bending and installing EMT conduit, and pulling and managing cable.
As the project progresses, you will help hook up generators to the power grid and may participate in commissioning activities if you have relevant experience.
The position requires working safely with medium to highvoltage systems and maintaining productivity through both slower periods and intense bursts of activity under tight timelines.
**Responsibilities**
Perform ground work during the buildout stage, including laying, gluing, and securing electrical pipe and conduit.
Bend and install EMT conduit ranging from 3/4 inch up to 4 inches in size using appropriate tools and techniques.
Support installation and management of cable systems, including significant cable pulling and cable bussing.
Install and maintain cable trays and other cable management infrastructure in accordance with site specifications.
Assist in wiring and electrical installation activities, including lowvoltage and other electrical systems as directed.
Hook up generators to the power grid once ground work is complete, following safety procedures and electrical standards.
Read and work from blueprints and project drawings to ensure accurate installation of electrical components and conduit runs.
Run and bend conduit to specified layouts, ensuring clean, organized, and codecompliant installations.
Work safely with electrical systems in the 480 to 750volt range, following all site safety rules and regulations.
Operate elevated work platforms and aerial lifts as required to access installation locations at height.
Collaborate with multiple trades on a live job site, coordinating tasks and adapting to changes in scope and schedule.
Maintain productivity during both lulls in work and highintensity periods, proactively finding tasks to stay busy.
Meet tight timelines and respond to bursts of work by organizing tasks efficiently and communicating with supervisors and teammates.
Follow all site safety protocols, including fall protection, platform use, and construction safety training requirements.
Use reliable transportation to travel to and from the job site on a daily basis.
Participate in commissioning work on the data hall once construction is complete, if you have relevant commissioning experience.
Work day shifts with regular opportunities for overtime on weekends and evenings, as needed by the project.
**Essential Skills**
Indentured 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Apprentice Electrician status.
Experience in industrial or commercial construction environments.
Handson experience with conduit installation and bending, including EMT conduit from 3/4 inch to 4 inches.
Proven ability in cable management, including pulling wire, cable bussing, and installing cable trays.
Ability to work with electrical systems ranging from 480 volts up to 750 volts while adhering to safety standards.
Competence in running and bending conduit according to project specifications and blueprints.
Experience with electrical wiring and installation, including lowvoltage systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.
Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Valid CSTS certification (online course accepted).
Valid Fall Protection certification (online course accepted).
Valid Elevated Work Platform / Aerial Lift certification (online course accepted).
Ability to work day shifts and perform overtime, including weekends, when required.
Capacity to stay productive and selfdirected during both slow and busy periods on a live construction site.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience on largescale data center or highprofile commercial/industrial projects.
Prior involvement in commissioning work for electrical or data hall systems.
Strong understanding of cable tray layouts and cable bussing best practices.
Comfort working on a multitrade job site with changing priorities and schedules.
Attention to detail and commitment to clean, organized conduit and cable installations.
Ability to work extended schedules, including 10hour days and 67 days per week when desired.
Willingness to take on additional training and certifications as required by the project.

**Work Environment**
This position is based on a large data center construction site in Rocky View County, working primarily on the day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The workplace is a live, multitrade job site where work volume can fluctuate, with periods of slower activity and bursts of highintensity tasks.
You will work with industrialgrade electrical equipment, EMT conduit, cable trays, and medium to highvoltage systems, often using elevated work platforms and aerial lifts.
Standard schedules involve day shifts with regular opportunities for overtime; overtime is paid after 8 hours per day, with timeandahalf on Saturdays and double time on Sundays.
The project may require weekend, evening, and extended hours, and there is the option to work 67 days per week depending on your preference and project demands.
The site follows construction safety standards, including the use of fall protection and platform certifications, and expects appropriate work attire suitable for an active construction environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $50.40/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
