Insight Global is seeking a Financial Advisory Services & Operations Manager to support a leading qualified services client within their Financial Services and Insurance practice.
This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leading complex accounting, finance transformation, and financial reporting initiatives while contributing to practice growth, business development, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical accounting expertise, advisory experience, project leadership, and client relationship management capabilities.
This role offers the opportunity to work with clients across the financial services sector on strategic initiatives, accounting advisory engagements, finance transformation programs, and major business events such as mergers and acquisitions, IPO readiness, and accounting standard implementations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of accounting advisory and finance transformation projects within the financial services industry.
- Manage engagement economics, project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communications.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
- Prepare and review technical accounting memoranda related to IFRS, ASPE, and U.S. GAAP.
- Support clients through significant business events, including acquisitions, divestitures, IPO readiness initiatives, and accounting framework transitions.
- Lead client workshops, presentations, and strategic discussions related to accounting, finance operations, and reporting requirements.
- Review project deliverables prepared by junior team members and provide mentorship and technical guidance.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, proposal creation, client relationship management, and pipeline generation activities.
- Support the development of new service offerings, market strategies, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Develop and deliver internal and external communications relevant to finance and accounting advisory services.
- Mentor, coach, and develop consulting teams by enhancing technical accounting, project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Skills and Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
- CPA designation.
- 10-15 years of progressive accounting, finance, advisory, or consulting experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a professional services, consulting, or advisory environment.
- Strong technical accounting expertise with: IFRS, ASPE, and U.S. GAAP
- Experience supporting financial services, insurance, banking, or broader financial sector clients.
- Proven experience leading client-facing engagements from planning through execution and delivery.
Strong knowledge of:
- Financial reporting
- Financial process design
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Financial performance management
- Business case development
- Internal controls and governance
- Experience managing project teams and mentoring junior resources.
- Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the full project lifecycle, including problem identification, solution development, implementation planning, client communications, and team leadership.
- Experience leading ERP implementation projects.
- Participation in at least three full-cycle ERP implementations from a consulting, advisory, or vendor perspective.
- Experience leading technology assessment and transformation initiatives.
- Background supporting mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, divestitures, or IPO readiness engagements.
- Experience building service offerings and contributing to market growth initiatives.
- Prior experience within Big 4 consulting, accounting advisory, or financial reporting advisory services practices.
- Exposure to the insurance or broader financial services industry.
