About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to focus on optimizing manufacturing processes at their facility in Kimberley . This role is essential for improving the efficiency, quality, and safety of production lines through sound mechanical engineering principles and creative solutions. You will work hands-on with machinery, analyze production data, and implement modifications to enhance operational performance. This is an on-site position requiring direct engagement with manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, cost, and quality.
Design, develop, and implement new mechanical systems and upgrades for production equipment.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including P&IDs;, equipment manuals, and standard operating procedures.
Collaborate with production staff and maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.




Ensure all implemented solutions comply with safety regulations and industry best practices.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed process improvements.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
Proficiency in CAD software for designing machine parts and systems.
Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, automation, and material handling.
Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
