These jobs are for the Western Client Contact Centre. This hiring process is meant to set up a pool. Most of the work will be term, or temporary, assignments.
In the job, you will talk with taxpayers and their authorized representatives by phone. You will answer questions about tax files and CRA services. You will look up details and support issue resolution for taxpayer enquiries.

Job Description
You will answer phone calls from taxpayers and from people who act on their behalf.
Most of your time will be spent on the phone.
The work may be up to seven hours each day in a call centre.
You will explain how Individual and Business Tax Accounts are filed and processed.
You will also talk through the social programs run by the CRA.
You will collect details so you understand what the person is asking for.
You will look up options for answers and next steps.
You will use internal and external resources to do this.
You will type and record information using computer tools and systems.
You will also research, review details, and help resolve questions or requests.
This may include payment reconciliation.
Responsibilities
Answer calls from taxpayers and people calling for them.
Help clarify details about personal or business tax accounts.
Describe social programs run by the CRA.
Collect facts to understand what the caller needs.
Look up options and suggest suitable next steps.
Use both internal tools and outside reference material.
Work with different computer systems and programs.
Type data into records and also check existing entries.
Review questions from callers and help find a proper outcome.
Match payments and complete reconciliation tasks.
Give respectful, businesslike service to callers.
Speak clearly with taxpayers, even when the call is difficult.
Requirements
You must finish a secondary school diploma.
When you apply, upload digital copies of your education papers. You must also include proof that it matches Canadian standards.
Examples include Internet search engines.
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook also count.
In your application, you must explain clearly how you meet both experienced parts.

In some cases, the candidate could be asked to come into the office five days each week.
Work from home reporting outside the listed areas is not allowed.

You must live close enough to your assigned Western Client Contact Centre so you can commute.
This job is phone based. It can require long headset or handset use.
You may deal with background noise. You will also spend a lot of time at a computer screen.
