Intent of the process
Currently we have one indeterminate vacancy at the IT-02 group and level.A qualified pool of candidates may be established to staff this and other similar positions, at the IT-02 group and level for term, indeterminate or acting at full or part-time hours or lower level positions.Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Conditions of employment
Top Secret security clearance - RCMP Top Secret Security Clearance.In accordance with the Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) Directive on Security Screening, effective January 6, 2025, Canadian citizenship is a requirement for a Top Secret clearance.
Please note that while a Top Secret clearance is not required at the time of application, all conditions of employment, including security clearance, must be met prior to appointment and maintained for the duration of employment in the position.Please refer to the TBS Directive on Security Screening for more information: https://www.tbs-sct.canada.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=32805#annA1.
Must be willing and able to work in confined spaces.
Must be willing and able to travel from worksite for extended periods, and on short notice
Must be willing and able to work outside of normal core hours, when required and on short notice.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be willing and able to travel via commercial and RCMP transportation, including RCMP aircraft.
Willingness and ability to lift and carry heavy tools and equipment (ex: minimum 50lbs)

Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
EX2. Recent* experience with maintenance, installation and repair of computers or accessories.
EX3. Recent* experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD).
EX4. Recent* experience supporting computer applications.
EX5. Recent* experience supporting a LAN/WAN environment.
EX6. Recent* experience in IT Asset Management Life Cycle. *Recent is defined as experience obtained within the last five (5) years.

CERT1. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations (or higher) certification
CERT2. CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
CERT3. Microsoft Certified Qualified (MCP) or Microsoft Specialist certification
EXPERIENCE
AEX1. Experience managing incidents using a service management ticketing system
AEX2. Experience with IT project management
