About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer specializing in Ergonomics and Safety to join their operations supporting the East London area. This crucial role focuses on optimizing workplaces to enhance employee well-being, reduce the risk of injuries, and improve overall productivity. You will conduct detailed ergonomic assessments, design safer work processes, and implement safety protocols in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating a safe and efficient working environment and has a strong understanding of human factors in industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive ergonomic assessments of workstations, tasks, and processes to identify potential risks and recommend improvements.
Design and implement ergonomic solutions, including workstation modifications, tool selection, and work practice changes.
Develop and deliver training programs on ergonomics, protected work practices, and injury prevention to employees.
Collaborate with safety managers to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Analyze injury data to identify trends and proactively develop strategies to mitigate risks.




Participate in the design of new facilities or the modification of existing ones to ensure they meet ergonomic and safety standards.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on ergonomics and workplace safety .
Knowledge of ergonomic principles, assessment tools (e.g., RULA, REBA), and safety management systems.
Familiarity with relevant occupational health and safety legislation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions.
Excellent communication and training skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
