About the Role
As a Manager, Community Living Supports, you will provide leadership and oversight to community-based support services, ensuring people supported receive high-quality, person-centered services that promote choice, inclusion, independence, and meaningful community participation.

You will lead and support frontline teams, ensure compliance with legislative and organizational standards, manage operational and financial resources, and work collaboratively with families, community partners, and the leadership team to achieve positive outcomes for people supported.

Key Responsibilities
Service Excellence & Quality Supports

Lead the development, implementation, and review of person-centered support plans.





Ensure services promote individual choice, dignity, rights, and community inclusion.

Monitor service quality and identify opportunities fo r continuous improvement.

Provide guidance and support to employees regarding individual, family, and service-related needs.

Leadership & Team Development

Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to support workers and other assigned staff.

Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management processes.

Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.

Conduct staff meetings, performance reviews, and workforce planning activities.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Promote a culture of workplace health and safety through training, inspections, incident investigations, and risk mitigation.

Monitor and support protected work practices across all assigned locations.

Ensure staff maintain required certifications and training.

Operations & Financial Management

Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned residential and community support locations.

Manage budgets and resources responsibly, ensuring effective stewardship of organizational assets.

Monitor expenditures and identify operational or financial concerns.

Ensure the accurate and timely completion of administrative and reporting requirements.

Community & Stakeholder Relations

Build and maintain positive relationships with individuals supported, families, community partners, and other professionals.

Represent the organization on committees, working groups, and community initiatives as required.

Collaborate with colleagues across programs to support organizational goals and service excellence.

Organizational Leadership

Contribute as an active member of the management team.





Support cross-functional initiatives and provide coverage to management colleagues as needed.

Participate in the agency's on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations when required.

Demonstrate ongoing professional development and leadership growth.

Qualifications
Education

Post-secondary diploma or degree in a Human Services or related field.

Experience

Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related human services field.

Minimum one (1) year of leadership or supervisory experience.

Skills & Requirements

Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Commitment to person-centered practices and inclusive community supports.

Knowledge of applicable legislation, health and safety standards, and human service best practices.

Valid First Aid/CPR certification.

Valid Class G driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle.

Proficiency with computer applications and administrative systems.

Training and experience in Pharmacology, Crisis Intervention, and related specialized supports.

Experience with budget management and operational oversight.

Working Conditions

Travel within the community is required.

May support environments involving personal care, behavioural, medical, social, and emotional support needs.

Participation in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation is required.
