Express Employment Professionals is conducting a confidential search for a Business Development Specialist on behalf of a growing manufacturing company in the Guelph area.

This is an exciting prospect for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys managing accounts, growing customer partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities within an existing client base. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customers while working cross-functionally to ensure a seamless customer experience and continued account growth.

Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Business Development

Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts.

Build strong, long-term relationships through proactive communication and account management.

Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.

Drive customer retention and support long-term revenue growth.

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.

Sales & Order Management

Manage customer orders from initial inquiry through completion.

Monitor order progress and communicate updates proactively.

Resolve customer concerns quickly while maintaining strong business relationships.

Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the CRM system.





Collaboration & Performance

Partner with graphics, production, logistics, and accounting teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Track account performance, customer feedback, and sales activity.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen customer relationships and business growth.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in account management, inside sales, business development, or client success.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying growth opportunities.

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Manufacturing or distribution experience is considered an asset.
