Note: Not all incumbents perform all of the duties described below but perform a similar range of duties as per the directive of the Coordinator of Day Services.Ensure an active watch over both the members and the facility through the course of regular duties.Understand and promote members' rights and responsibilities.Provide transportation to and from various locations while demonstrating protected driving skills.Ensure meals and snacks are diverse, attractive, nutritionally, and calorically adequate for the dietary and medical requirements of each member as recommended in the current Canadian Dietary Standard.Role model appropriate behaviour and attitude supporting growth and promoting independence for the members.Collaboratively create, manage and facilitate appropriate individual and group activities, special events and spiritual care programs according to member interest, skill and ability levels.**Other Duties as Required**Education and health professional resourcesBe familiar with agency policy and procedures and implement into daily tasks. Responsible for the completion and secure storage of records and documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures, and the Department of Families' requirements. Ensure facility is kept in accordance with agency policies and procedures and the Department of Families' requirements. Perform necessary housekeeping duties and report any maintenance issues as they arise.The incumbent's typical work environment is a day program facility, with significant amounts of work accompanying members in the community.
