Position Overview
The Laundry Attendant is a member of theHousekeeping Department and is responsible for the effective and professionaloperation of the onsite laundry facilities. This position ensures all thermalspa linens, robes, towels, and related items are cleaned, dried, folded,sorted, stored, and distributed according to established quality and sanitationstandards.
Key Responsibilities
Collect,sort, wash, dry, fold, hang, and distribute linens according to fabric type,soil level, colour, and approved wash formulas.
Inspect towels,robes, sheets, treatment lines, and other items for stains, damage, wear, andquality.
Treatstains according to approved procedures and remove damaged items fromcirculation when required.
Maintainadequate clean linen levels at designated distribution points and communicateshortages promptly.
Track linenmovement, discard, rewash, and inventory information as required.
Operatewashers, dryers, folding equipment, carts, and other laundry equipment safely.
Maintain aclean, organized separation between soiled and clean linen areas.
Follow WHMIS,chemical handling, PPE, lifting, heat, ergonomic,
and occupational safetyprocedures.
Use chemicalsand utilities according to established formulas to protect linens and controlcost.
Report equipmentmalfunctions, leaks, chemical issues, or safety hazards immediately.
Support water,energy, chemical, and textile conservation initiatives without compromisingsanitation.
Handleguest and treatment linens with care and maintain presentation standards.
Maintainan organized, clean, and sanitary laundry room and linen storage areas.
Reportaccidents, injuries, spills, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Work collaborativelywith all other departments.
Qualifications
Previousexperience in housekeeping, hotel, resort, spa, laundry services, or similarenvironment is considered an asset.
Strong organizationaland time-management skills.
Attentionto detail and cleanliness standards.
Ability towork independently with minimal supervision.
Strongattention to detail.
WHMIScertification is preferred.
First Aideand CPR certification is an asset.
Ability towork flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shiftsas required.
