Duties
Perform on-going and preventive maintenance on building equipment
Move office furniture, also tables and chairs for social events
Operate fork lift, tractors, snow blowers, riding lawnmowers, push mowers and other landscape equipment
Shoveling, salting and sanding of walkways and Parking lots
Snow blowing and snow plowing of walkways and Parking lots
Understand and implement proper safety procedures in all above areas
Assist in setting up and tear down event tents and related event equipment and assets
Required to participate and support the City of Timmins Continuous Improvement Program in order to help foster a culture of operational excellence
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Grade 12 education
Applicant must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
Must be willing to work a variety of varying shifts which may include weekends
Must be a self-starter with initiative
Proven mechanical aptitude an asset
Experienced grounds maintenance an asset
Proficient in use of chainsaw
Proficient in the use of small to medium tractors and loaders
Capable of performing physically demanding work in all weather conditions
