Become a vital part of the team at Carlington Community Health Centre as a Full time Headstart Float Early Childhood Educator. Help nurture vulnerable children and support their socio-emotional development from October 2026.

In this rewarding Float role, you will cover for core RECE staff absences and assist with various functions at Annavale Headstart Nursery School in Ottawa. Foster emotional self-regulation and positive behavior in children aged 18 months to 4 years while implementing curriculum aligned with Ontario’s frameworks. Your focus will be on trauma-informed care, attachment-supporting strategies, and collaboration with a dedicated team to create a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide coverage for core staff absences while gaining insights




• Deliver child-centered care aligned with How Does Learning Happen?
• Implement curricula that enhance social and emotional skills
• Collaborate with staff and professionals for vulnerable children's needs
• Support daily team functions as required

Requirements:
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
• 3-5 years of experience with children 18 months-4 years
• Expertise in attachment principles and trauma-informed care
• Valid First Aid/CPR and registration with the College of ECEs
• Fluency in English; additional languages an asset
