Our Scarborough client, an industry leader in designing and manufacturing retail displays, is looking for a Welder to join their growing team!

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components

Fabricate custom retail displays, fixtures, shelving systems, and structural components

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Set up welding equipment and adjust machine settings based on project requirements

Create, follow, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)

Grind, deburr, and finish welded components to meet appearance and quality requirements

Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications

Perform basic measurements using tape measures, calipers, and angle gauges

Identify and report material defects and equipment issues

Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks

Tag, label, and organize completed work orders and finished products

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Follow all ISO, OHSA, company quality, and safety standards

Perform other duties as assigned





Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 2 years of Welding experience

Able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings

Ability to troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship

Self-motivated and capable of working independently

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Excellent attention to detail

Bonus Qualifications:

CWB Certification (asset)

Laser welding experience (asset)

Experience working in a custom fabrication, display manufacturing, or fixture manufacturing environment (asset)

Compensation and Hours:

Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 3:30pm

Pay Rate: $22-25 per hour
