About the Role
The Bridge requires a Casual On Call Chef. The Chef prepares and serves meals and oversees the operation and cleanliness of the eating and cooking areas in our facilities.

Position: Casual On Call

Evening shift premium – additional $3.50 per hour between 1900hr-0700hr





Indirect Compensation

Qualifications

Education and experience

Professional Culinary Training Certificate or equivalent experience.

Minimum of three years recent, related experience

Job skills and abilities

Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written skills.

Demonstrated teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently.

Good time management.

Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in accordance with Agency Cleaning Outcome Standards.

Accountable to participant complaints; compliant with nutritional requirements

Ability to lift and carry heavy food supplies

Other requirements

Criminal record check in accordance with agency policy

Employees must declare their vaccination status for COVID-19 and influenza; if vaccinated, documentation must be provided

Valid Unrestricted BC Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

Food Secure- preferred - but willing to train

Valid First Aid Certificate- preferred - but willing to train

WHMIS-Preferred - but willing to train
