About the Role Our client is seeking a meticulous Information Security Auditor to join their compliance and security team in East London . This role is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of information security controls and ensuring adherence to internal policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in identifying security risks and control deficiencies, providing recommendations for remediation to strengthen the organization's security posture. Key Responsibilities Plan and conduct information security audits across various IT systems, applications, and processes.
Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls related to information security and data privacy.
Evaluate compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., POPIA) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001).
Identify control weaknesses and security risks, documenting findings and proposing practical remediation recommendations.




Prepare detailed audit reports for management, outlining audit scope, findings, and areas for improvement.
Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation by relevant departments.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience in information security auditing, risk management, or IT compliance.
Strong understanding of IT control frameworks, security principles, and auditing methodologies.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC are highly desirable.
