If you want to make a difference at the center of health, come join our innovative company and help us improve the lives of people and animals everywhere.Job DetailsThis role is in support of Cencora's patient and provider support and pharma commercialization services in Canada marketed through our Innomar Strategies business.Employment is subject to verification of pre-employment screening tests, which may include drug screening and background check when permitted by state or local laws.Summary Of RolePerforms specialty pharmacy support and operations activities across prescription intake, benefit verification, claims follow-up, prior authorization support, and fulfillment workflows using established procedures and quality standards. Coordinates daily work to support turnaround times, accurate documentation, and reliable handoffs across pharmacy operations. Reviews workflow details, identifies routine discrepancies, resolves standard issues within guidelines, and escalates non-routine matters to appropriate team members to support compliant and efficient operations.ResponsibilitiesAssist Pharmacist or the Registered Pharmacy Technician in filling prescriptionsAssist patients picking up prescriptionsEnter, scan and process prescriptions using Kroll Pharmacy softwareMaintain accurate data in pharmacy files and computer drivesVerify that customer receives correct prescription(s)Maintain workflow through effective task prioritization and teamworkAnswer the phone and respond to inquiries from internal and external customersScreen telephone calls for the Pharmacist(s)Order, receive and maintain inventory of medicationsPrepare and process billings, claims,
disbursements and related documentsReview invoices or other documentationPack and ship prescription orders according to established protocolsMaintain pharmacy recordsReport Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and, where applicable, internal and contractual obligationsAssist in general housekeeping and administrative duties; andThe Pharmacy Assistant will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to timeMay be required to be on standby/ on call as part of this roleExperience And Educational RequirementsHigh school diploma preferredPharmacy experience is an assetProficiency in Kroll an assetProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)Organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracyExcellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent time management skillsBilingualism, French/English is an assetMinimum Skills, Knowledge, And Ability RequirementsWorking knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industryStrong analytical and mathematical skillsAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingEffective interpersonal and leadership skillsEffective organizational skills; attention to detailAbility to consistently meet deadlinesPrevious experience in cold-chain distribution an assetPrevious experience with biological and/or cytotoxic medication and sterile preparation an assetExcellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficientlyKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office ProgramsAs part of your job duties, you may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.EducationHigh school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.Work Experience2+ years of experience in pharmacy support, healthcare operations,
