Job Description: The EMT will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT will cover standby assignment, as operations require. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Human Resources Exemption: No

Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses:

Valid Class 4 driver's license
Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)




Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

Other Education and Training:

International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)

Competencies:

Basic - Communication skills
Basic - Interpersonal skills

Knowledge and Abilities:

Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting

Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
Davidson is located approximately 114 km south of Saskatoon
Employer will endeavour to ensure on-call does not exceed 300 hours in 3 weeks
Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
Scheduled hours of work may be reduced when a statutory holiday is recognized
