At Trotter & Morton, we know we're only as good as our employees. We are currently seeking an After-Hours Desk Operator to join our team in an office-based position! The After-Hours Desk Operator will be responsible for managing incoming calls, dispatching appropriate response personnel, and performing administrative and security-related tasks during their shift.
Hours of Operation
Monday–Friday: Overnight shifts
Saturday & Sunday: Daytime and overnight shifts, with coverage required across a 24-hour period
Statutory Holidays: Availability required
Roles and Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
Record detailed reports on the nature of each call
Dispatch the appropriate trades or guard services using the provided call list
Perform shift-related computer tasks, including opening and closing out shifts
Manage security-related tasks, such as deleting access cards and conducting CCTV investigations
Oversee and assist with remote guard tours conducted over the phone
Other duties as required
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Robust attention to detail and ability to document information accurately
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with administrative tasks
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Required Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role or with security systems is an asset but not required
Administrative experience would be an asset
High School diploma or equivalent
