Become a vital part of the care team at AgeCare as a Health Care Aide. Deliver essential support to residents by assisting with personal care, transfers, and daily activities.
At AgeCare, the Health Care Aide works under the supervision of a Staff Nurse, providing basic yet thorough care to meet the individual needs of residents. With a focus on resident comfort and well-being, you'll execute tasks such as bathing, feeding, and assisting with mobility. You'll also facilitate their participation in social and recreational activities, enhancing their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer bathing and hygiene care to residents
• Assist with mobility transfers using proper equipment
• Feed residents and ensure dietary compliance during meals
• Provide routine treatments as directed by nursing staff
• Accompany residents to therapy and recreational activities
Requirements:
• One year of experience in care preferred
• Certification as a Personal Care Aide or equivalent
• Active registration with CLHA required
• Fluency in English, written and verbal
• Post-secondary education is an asset
