Job OverviewWe are looking for aDirector, Technical Solutionsto own and evolve enterprise-wide capabilities across Enterprise Decision Engine (Business Rules/Decision Management), Enterprise Document Generation, and Secure Document Exchange. This role sits within our Automation Enablement organization and is accountable for strategy, delivery, platform health, modernization, and people leadership across these critical enterprise services.ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Capability OwnershipOwn the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and delivery for Enterprise Decision Engine (rules and decision automation)Enterprise Document GenerationSecure Document ExchangeTreat each capability as a product, accountable for outcomes, adoption, stability, and evolution.Partner with architecture and security teams to ensure platforms align to enterprise standards, risk, and compliance requirements.Delivery & Technical LeadershipLead cross-functional engineering and delivery teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs and engineering specifications.Provide technical thought leadership across rules, document generation, and document exchange technologies.Drive modernization initiatives including platform upgrades, migrations, and re-architecture where required.Ensure platforms are instrumented for proactive monitoring, operational excellence, and incident response.Automation & Engineering ExcellenceDrive automation and engineering improvements that accelerate delivery, improve quality and resiliency, reduce change failure rates and operational overhead, and champion agile and product-oriented ways of working measuring progress by outcomes rather than outputs.People & Culture LeadershipBuild and lead a high-performing team of managers, technical leads, and practitioners.Coach and mentor leaders and engineers, fostering strong technical depth and ownership.Reinforce a culture of collaboration, transparency, accountability, and continuous learning.Stakeholder & Vendor ManagementBuild trusted relationships with business leaders and technology partners.Manage vendor relationships where applicable, ensuring value, performance,
and alignment to enterprise standards.Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery trade-offs.QualificationsBias to Action.Post Secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience.5+ years experience in engineering/technology leadership position.Entrepreneurial Mindset.Experience with one or more of: Decision Management / Rules Engine, Document Composition, Secure Document Exchange.Ability to use knowledge of industry, business and systems to solve business problems.Proven ability to develop and maintain cooperative business relationships.Ability to pivot and quickly change direction in response to changing priorities.Experience coaching and mentoring technical practitioners.Strong communication, collaboration and relationship building skills.Delivery leadership experience with engineering teams.Architectural acumen with distributed systems.Ability to lead, motivate and drive performance within a delivery team.Curiosity, problem solving skills and critical thinking skills.Growth mindset: open to new ways of working, experimentation, ability to use a try-it-and-fail-fast approach to ideas.Demonstrated experience with both Agile and traditional project management approaches.Willingness to get technical to understand product.Preferred QualificationsExperience in financial services or regulated industries.Experience leading platform migrations or cloud-based architectures.Practitioner background (developer, architect, BSA, or similar).Experience operating platforms using product management principles.Knowledge of operational excellence practices (Agile, Lean, Kanban).Ability to define and use platform performance and reliability metrics.SalaryThe base salary for this position is between$114,200 - $164,200annually.
This represents base salary only and does not include other variable compensation components such as annual bonus or commission.
