The Corporation of the City of North VancouverBusiness Applications SpecialistTemporary Full-TimeThe City of North Vancouver is the urban core of the beautiful North Shore and has a long‑term vision to be “The Healthiest Small City in the World”, with five key priorities to be a City for People, a Resilient City, a Vibrant City, a Connected City and a Prosperous City.The Corporate Services Department – Information Technology Division is looking for a temporary full‑time Business Applications Specialist to join their team for approximately 18 months.Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Platforms, you will be involved with all phases of business applications configuration, procedure documentation and operation related to a department’s business applications system. As part of a high‑energy, well‑accomplished team, you will assist in gathering and documenting business applications and systems requirements, support the internal and external design teams in developing technical solutions, perform data evaluation and analysis, and prepare testing data environments. You will also assist with triaging new requests through our frontdoor process, creating and updating technical manuals and providing training documentation to the user departments.You will be a team-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills, proven communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting the City’s IT applications and users. You have a diploma or degree in computer sciences or a related discipline and experience with systems analysis; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Familiarity with Agile methodology, ERP/asset‑management systems,



and/or municipal systems would be assets.Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete standardized tests or exercises to demonstrate their applicable skills and knowledge.For temporary full‑time positions of eight (8) months or longer, a City employee who is successful on the posting will have the right to revert to their former position.Salary:$42.45 to $50.13 per hour (Pay grade 24 – January 2024 rates).
