FCC Canada excels in civil works such as roads, railways, maritime construction, tunnels, bridges, and subway projects.Position SummaryReports to: Procurement ManagerThe Procurement Specialist's Key Responsibilities AreUnderstand and adhere to all of Project polices, particularly to the procurement and safety policies.Maintain high data integrity when inputting records in the company's database systemsProvide reporting and analysis on procurement activities, variances and impacts.Facilitate the implementation of business specific contracts for services and/or materialsSuccessfully executes elements of the project procurement plan in accordance with approved corporate and or project policies, procedures, plans, strategy and budgets.Prepare and oversee the preparation of all bid documents, bid tabulations and selection recommendations.
This includes preparing the sourcing strategy, bid packages, supplier agreements and overseeing the development of the scope of work.Work collaboratively with key project stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured in the total cost of ownership solution.Relationship management with vendors and internal stakeholders on all procurement related matters.Contract negotiations and preparation, including issuing approval of contract documents, subcontracts and purchase orders.Logistics coordination including expediting for critical site deliveries.Support the procurement team on daily activities as required.Education And Qualifications5 years' experience within a purchasing departmentPost-secondary education or work experience in a related fieldJob RequirementsTechnical depth of knowledge in the areas of construction related materials and servicesKnowledge of procurement principles, techniques, practices and ethicsKnowledge of fundamentals of contract law, negotiating business agreements, and laws of requesting tenders, proposals, and quotationsProven organizational skills and ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines,
