Working closely with the Feed & Livestock Supplies Manager, the successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist with inventory management, support warehouse operations, and contribute to the overall success of the departmentKey ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Office OperationsWelcome customers and provide information regarding products, pricing, services and availabilityProcess customer orders, sales transactions and payments accurately and efficientlyReceive inventory into retail management systems and maintain accurate recordsNotify customers when orders are ready for pick upRespond to customer inquiries in person, by telephone and emailBuild and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their operational needs and business goalsCreate, update and maintain both digital and in-store merchandising displaysMaintain office records and documentationPrepare letters, reports, emails and other administrative documentation as requiredCompile information related to inventory levels, sales activity, pricing, shipments and outstanding accountsMonitor industry trends,
product developments and competitor offeringsSupport initiatives that promote a positive customer experience and strong community presenceWarehouse & Inventory ManagementAssist with planning and coordinating the storage and organization of inventorySafely unload incoming shipments using a forklift, including pallets, bagged product and large livestock equipmentLoad customer vehicles with products while ensuring safe handling practicesAssist with inventory control processes, including receiving, tracking stock movementConduct inventory counts, spot checks and support monthly and annual inventory proceduresInspect shipments for damage and accuracy of received goodsEnsure products are stored in designated locations according to established proceduresCommunicate inventory concerns and stock level requirements to the department managerGeneral OperationsMaintain a clean, organized and safe work environment both inside and outside the facilityPerform routine housekeeping and facility maintenance dutiesAdhere to all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards, policies and proceduresParticipate in safety training and contribute to a culture of workplace safetyPerform additional duties as assignedReportingThis position reports directly to the Feed & Livestock Supply ManagerHours of WorkMonday to Friday: 8:30 a.M. to 5:30 p.M.Occasional Saturdays: 8:30 a.M. to 5:30 p.M.QualificationsEducation and ExperiencePost-secondary education in Agriculture, Animal Science or a related field is considered an assetExperience in agricultural sales, livestock production,
or a related industry is preferredValid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certificationPrevious customer service, retail, inventory or warehouse experience is an assetKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong commitment to providing excellent customer serviceAbility to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environmentExcellent verbal and written communicationStrong organizational skills and attention to detailBasic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory or point-of-sale systemsSound mathematical and problem solving skillsAbility to follow procedures, prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesPhysically capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50lbs on a regular basisDependable, honest, and self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
