Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Senior Auto Claims Specialist to manage and resolve intermediate to complex commercial auto claims while delivering an outstanding customer experience and supporting effective claims cost management. Reporting to the Sr. Claims Manager, Property & Motor you will handle a portfolio of intermediate to complex commercial auto claims to resolution, while providing technical guidance to colleagues, collaborating closely with underwriting and risk engineering, and contributing to continuous improvement in claims handling practices and customer service. What you will do Document claims files by accurately capturing and updating claims data/information for low to moderate exposure and complexity commercial auto claims Conduct detailed coverage analysis, liability assessment, and damage evaluation in accordance with Zurich’s claims policies, guidelines, and service standards. Manage claims reserves, ensuring timely and accurate reserving and adherence to financial and regulatory requirements. Lead negotiation and settlement discussions with insureds, brokers, third-party claimants, and legal counsel to achieve fair and efficient outcomes. Work closely with legal counsel, independent adjusters, and other service providers, providing oversight and direction to ensure quality and cost-effective claims handling. Provide technical support, coaching, and mentorship to junior claim handlers, sharing best practices and contributing to team capability building.
