Hiring Unit: Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) Course code and title: EDEA 204-002. Drawing.

Description: Development of sound drafting skills through the study of organic forms and the human figure in various media. This course is not Team taught or offered online.

Term: Winter 2027

Credits: 3 credits

Location: Education Building (EDUC 632)

Schedule: Thursday, 11:35 am-02:25 pm

Appointment Dates: December 21, 2026 - April 30, 2027

Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):

Education

- 1. Master educator with an MA in a relevant field (e.g. Visual Art Education) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school artist-teacher with a background in the visual arts.
- 2. PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset.

Experience

- 1.Demonstrated knowledge of: Drawing canons Drawing skills Influential painting schools Various drawing techniques and mediums
- 2. Previous experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level and/or equivalent relevant teaching or professional experience.
- 3. Experience as a visual arts teacher in the Quebec educational system.
- 4. Familiaritywiththe ProfessionalCompetenciesspecifiedbythe Ministère de l’Éducation.

Other

- 1. Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- 2. Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences.
- 3. Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset.
- 4. Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
