Sedgman is currently looking for aSenior Electrical Engineerto join our team in the Vancouver, B.C. office. He/she will act as a technical leader, bridging complex engineering design with field execution. The incumbent will design, implement, and maintain HV, MV, and LV power systems, conduct power studies, ensure code compliance, and manage the project’s deliverables across all project phases (Pre‑feasibility, Feasibility, Conceptual, and Detailed design). They will also oversee automation and electrical infrastructure for surface or underground operations and mentor a young, enthusiastic team.Sedgman is a consulting engineering company in the mining space experiencing rapid expansion across North America. This role is business‑critical within the organization.What does this role involve? Key responsibilities:Lead the execution of electrical engineering and design for mineral processing projects and associated infrastructure (may include: industrial processing, precious metals and/or iron ore plants, and associated services).Develop proposals and conceptual designs for Pre‑feasibility, Feasibility, and Detailed engineering design projects.Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams.Work across a continuous succession of small and large, domestic and international projects through the entire lifecycle – from early concept development to operations.Liaise with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate,



and cost‑effective delivery.Demonstrate a high standard of personal safety and safety‑in‑design practices.What are we looking for? Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Sound knowledge of the mining industry, Canadian regulatory codes, and standards.Qualified Engineer and Member of EGBC.15+ years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer in HV, MV, and LV power transmission and distribution systems. Knowledge of IEEE and IEC standards is an asset.Extensive engineering experience in a design/consultancy/operational environment; prior experience in an industrial processing and/or mining and metals environment is an asset.Well‑developed communication and negotiation skills.Proficiency with instrumentation and control systems in industrial applications.Ability to safely and effectively self‑manage time, priorities, and activities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work withclients, key stakeholders, contractors, and co‑workers (technical & non‑technical staff).Strong organizational skills, technical competence, and attention to detail.Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.What’s in it for you?Health and benefits package.RRSP matching.Opportunity to work on significant projects for the Canadian mining industry.Significant career growth potential.Discretionary bonus.Salary Range:



$160,000 – $180,000.
