Landscape and Commercial Site Maintenance Technician

OVERVIEW, DESCRIPTION - We are seeking agile and proactive Landscape technicians who will help us finish our summer season and transition into Snow/Commercial Site Maintenance for the winter months. This is a two-part hybrid position and hiring will be approached that way. After we finalize our summer landscaping season, candidates should expect to work through the winter as a component of our snow/ commercial maintenance team.

After our landscape season ends you will join Greenlawn as a snow/commercial maintenance technician. During the snow season - we are looking for staff who can ensure the optimal operation, safety, and appearance of our commercial properties. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the sidewalk snow & ice management and garbage can availability and condition for a specific list of commercial properties in Winnipeg, MB.

Limitless Landscaping - DUTIES AND EXPERIENCE

- Help our teams complete landscape installations - which include but is not limited to -
- HARDSCAPING - excavation and levelling of large areas, moving earth and installing base materials, construction of patios, walkways, retention walls, and pouring concrete
- SOFTSCAPING - levelling and grading of large areas, installing soil/sod and seed, installing landscape bedding areas, working with trees, shrubs and perennials
- HEAVY EQUIPMENT - loading and tie-down,



transporting/hauling and working around large equipment, operating heavy equipment such as skidsteer, loader, and excavator
- Proven experience lifting and handling heavy items, applicant must be able to lift 50lbs
- Experience handling working outside in various temperatures and conditions
- Experience communicating and effectively collaborating with others; all work is team work

Greenlawn SNOW - DUTIES AND EXPERIENCE

- Maintain sidewalk and curb areas of commercial sites to a summer-like standard throughout winter months. This may include clearing snow and ice, applying salt, sand or gravel to maintain safe traction conditions for visitors.
- Maintain site trash bins on a daily basis.
- Keep detailed records of your interaction with the sites via our app including before and after pictures
- Proven experience in a physical labour position with little to no glory.
- Strong work ethic and desire to produce quality results.

AVAILABILITY -

For landscape season, the ideal candidate will have Monday to Friday,



from 7am to 7pm available until snowfall. Transportation to the shop is also required.

For the snow season, the candidate may have some spare time to offer most days, including some Saturdays. There are daytime and night shifts available but all candidates should expect to work night time hours. There are two components to this work, the recurring daily/ nightly visitation and routine maintenance of the spaces, and the clearing of snow when an accumulation forms. The recurring portion of this job means someone will need to visit these sites 6 days a week (Mon-Sat), the clearing of snow can happen at any time including the potential for an occasional Sunday.

We are seeking candidates who are results focussed and whose life structure allows for the flexibility and availability to complete these tasks as needed, when needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Year-round work available

Contract length: until end of snow season in March - if employee performance meets expectations; new employees will have the opportunity to work for Limitless Landscaping next summer and Greenlawn in winter 2027.
