Career Receptionist – Law Firm

Full-Time, Permanent | $55,000–$63,000

Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking an experienced Career Receptionist to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact for a professional office and is looking for a long-term career in reception.

The successful candidate will be polished, personable and highly organized, with the experience and confidence to manage a busy front desk while creating a welcoming and professional experience for clients and visitors.

This is a full-time, permanent, 100% on-site position, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

- Answer and direct incoming calls in a qualified and effective manner
- Greet clients, visitors and guests and ensure they receive a warm welcome
- Maintain a polished, organized and qualified reception area
- Coordinate boardroom bookings and prepare meeting rooms as required
- Assist with firm events and social functions
- Coordinate external file storage and maintain accurate tracking of boxes
- Assist with new file openings and conflict searches
- Provide backup support for BC Online and LTSA postings
- Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed




- Help ensure the front office operates smoothly throughout the day

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of recent reception experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
- A genuine interest in making reception a long-term career
- Professional and polished telephone manner
- Friendly, confident and personable communication style
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy professional environment
- Dependable, proactive and comfortable working independently
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
- Previous law firm experience and familiarity with BC Online and LTSA are considered assets

Compensation

$55,000–$63,000, commensurate with experience.
