Automotive Technician (310S) – United Motorz Inc.

United Motorz Inc. is looking for a motivated, experienced, and fully licensed Automotive Technician (310S) to join our growing team.

This is a lead technician position where you will oversee two automotive technicians, assign and review work, perform MTO Safety Standard Inspections, and ensure vehicles are properly certified in compliance with MTO requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities

- Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of makes and models.
- Perform MTO Safety Standard Inspections and ensure vehicles meet all applicable certification requirements.
- Lead and oversee two automotive technicians, including assigning work and reviewing completed repairs.
- Ensure all required repairs are completed correctly before vehicle certification.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and other vehicle concerns using up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
- Perform advanced diagnostic and electrical repairs when required.
- Document inspection findings, repairs, recommendations, and safety reports accurately in the company's shop management software.
- Use the provided company laptop to maintain accurate digital inspection and repair records.
- Maintain an efficient workflow and ensure vehicles are completed on schedule.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors, management, and internal staff regarding repairs and recommendations.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications





- Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician Licence – Required
- 1–5+ years of automotive repair experience preferred.
- Experience performing Ontario/MTO Safety Standard Inspections.
- Strong knowledge of engines, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, HVAC, drivetrain, and general automotive repair.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Comfortable using scan tools, diagnostic equipment, computers, and shop management software.
- Ability to lead, supervise, and provide direction to other technicians.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while also leading a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's licence and clean driving record.
- Physically capable of performing normal automotive technician duties.
