Compensation: $22.00/hour to $34.00/hour (depending on apprenticeship level; overtime after 44 hours/week) + health care spending account + pension plan + eligibility for year-end bonus

Here’s What You’ll Do:

As an Electrical Apprentice at Horst Systems, you’ll support agricultural and industrial electrical projects while completing your apprenticeship under the supervision of licensed Electricians and Foremen. You’ll work both in the panel shop and on construction sites, gaining hands-on experience in installations, troubleshooting, and system testing. You’ll contribute to protected, high-quality electrical work while continuing to develop your technical skills and trade knowledge.

What your day to day looks like:

- Work both in the panel shop and across construction sites in southern Ontario, some overnight stays required
- Work under the guidance and supervision of a licensed electrician
- Read blueprints and install all electrical and electronic devices as per specifications
- Diagnose faults in electrical and electronic components, as required
- Assemble and install conduits and other electrical conductor raceways (PVC, Rigid and Tech)
- Test electrical and electronic equipment to ensure that they are functioning properly
- Contribute to the team with a positive attitude and continue to develop a great working culture, with an emphasis on health and safety

What you bring:

- Registered 309A Electrician Apprentice (1st to 3rd year preferred)
- Ability to work comfortably and confidently at heights
- Experience assembling grain bins or commercial experience (considered an asset)
- Conduit experience
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset with emphasis on health & safety
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Nerve, Grit, Focus to get the job done
- Valid drivers license as well as a satisfactory driver's abstract, criminal background check, and reference check.
