Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. Duties

- Process and record incoming payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices through qualified negotiation and courteous phone etiquette
- Maintain detailed records of transactions, adjustments, and collections for audit purposes
- Collaborate with accounts payable and other finance teams to resolve discrepancies promptly
- Perform regular account analysis to identify trends, potential issues, or opportunities for process improvement




- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable and prepare relevant reports for management

Qualifications

- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft is essential
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounts receivable management, and account reconciliation techniques
- Excellent data entry skills combined with analysis skills to interpret financial data accurately
- Effective negotiation abilities paired with professional phone etiquette for customer communication
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general accounting practices in financial services or related industries
- Basic math skills necessary for account analysis and financial calculations
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
