Montage Development Consultants is a Vancouver development management and owner's representative firm working across British Columbia. Our clients range from private-sector developers and property owners to non-profits, housing co-ops, faith communities and societies.

We guide their projects from early feasibility through funding, design, permitting and construction. The work includes market and mixed-use developments, new rental buildings, deep energy retrofits that cut emissions by up to 80%, and redevelopment of under-used land into much-needed housing.

Working on both private-sector and community projects keeps the work varied. One day you might be processing draws on a lender-financed private development, and the next you're preparing a budget statement for a non-profit housing society's retrofit. Either way, you're part of the team getting real buildings built.

We're a boutique firm that takes the work seriously, while ensuring we don’t take ourselves too seriously along the route. We like to have fun and celebrate the work we do. We work hard, because our clients are counting on us and the projects matter.

We also make time to celebrate: a permit issued, a funding approval, a building reopened to its residents. You're as likely to find us on a team Grouse Grind or a Sunshine Coast retreat as around the boardroom table or construction sites.

We're looking for an organized,



upbeat accounting professional to keep our project finances running smoothly. You'll touch every project in the office and help keep millions of dollars of development and construction spending on track.

What you'll do

- Receive, organize and process consultant, contractor, vendor and project invoices, and route them through Dext to the right project and approver.
- Keep approvals moving with friendly, persistent follow-up, the kind people actually appreciate.
- Support monthly client billing: prepare and send budget statements, cost reports and supporting documents to private and non-profit clients.
- Track client, consultant and contractor invoices and payment status, including progress draws, change orders and holdbacks.
- Support accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations and month-end close.
- Keep accurate, audit-ready accounting and project financial records.
- Work closely with our Principals, project managers and external accountants. This role sits at the centre of how the firm runs.

What you bring

- Experience in accounting administration, bookkeeping, AP/AR or a similar role.
- Experience in the construction and development industry is a robust asset. This could be with a general contractor or construction management firm,



a consulting engineering or architecture firm, a cost consultant or quantity surveyor, or a real estate developer.
- Familiarity with construction project accounting (progress billing, holdbacks, change orders, purchase orders, job costing) is a big plus.
- Sharp attention to detail. You notice when the numbers don't tie, and you enjoy fixing it.
- Strong organization and follow-through. You can manage recurring processes independently.
- Clear, professional communication with teammates, consultants, contractors and clients.
- Comfort with Excel, Outlook and Microsoft 365. QuickBooks or Dext experience is an asset.
