Description:
The ALC Acute Care Analyst Lead plays a central role in supporting data-driven performance management within Acute Care Alberta (ACA). Reporting to the Program Director of Capacity, Demand Planning, and Utilization, this position is responsible for the planning, development, and delivery of high-quality performance reports, dashboards, and analytic products that support operational excellence, compliance, and system-wide improvement. The Analyst ensures timely, accurate, and actionable information is available to internal and external stakeholders and contributes to strategic initiatives across the acute care continuum. The Analyst Lead, works with key senior leaders, including Ministry of Hospital and Surgical Health Services to understand capacity and flow related reporting needs. By using key relationships in Shared Services, Operations, Assisted Living Alberta, and other Agencies, the Analyst creates reports and provides insights based on the key metrics to ensure health services are accessible, and operating under manageable capacity. The Analyst had excellent proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, data science,
statistical methods and demonstrates proficiency in knowledge translation and data literacy communication.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, statistics, public health, computer science, business analytics or related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Robust interest in staying current with trends in data and analytics, including operationalizing emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Familiarity with the AHS analytics system is considered an asset Knowledge of Connect Care/Epic; Epic certification is considered an asset.
