Position Summary The Alumni Officer plays a key role in advancing alumni engagement across assigned schools and supporting the strategic objectives of the Office of Development & Alumni Engagement (ODAE). The incumbent develops and implements school-specific engagement strategies, builds meaningful relationships with alumni and graduating students, coordinates events and outreach initiatives, and promotes opportunities that strengthen alumni connections to the College. The position is also responsible for developing affinity partnerships, generating revenue through sponsorships and corporate relationships, and leading the planning and execution of major alumni events and initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement alumni engagement strategies and initiatives for assigned schools in collaboration with Deans, Associate Deans, faculty, and internal partners.
- Execute annual alumni engagement plans, including ongoing outreach, communications, classroom presentations, meetings, networking activities, reunions,



and special events.
- Build and maintain relationships with alumni, students, faculty, community organizations, industry partners, and other stakeholders to increase alumni awareness and participation.
- Serve as the lead for Alumni Signature Events, coordinating planning, logistics, communications, promotion, and event execution in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Support and participate in college-wide alumni initiatives, community events, career fairs, networking opportunities, orientations, and outreach activities.
- Develop promotional content and provide school-specific information for alumni communications, social media, and marketing initiatives.
- Identify, cultivate, negotiate, and secure affinity partnerships and sponsorship opportunities to support departmental revenue goals.
- Maintain accurate records and engagement activity within Raiser's Edge NXT and prepare reports related to engagement, partnerships, and budget performance.
- Conduct classroom visits and student outreach activities to educate graduating students about alumni benefits, services, and opportunities for continued engagement after graduation.
- Represent the College and ODAE at internal and external events and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

- Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Community Services, Business Administration, Client/Student/Alumni Relations, Community Development, or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in alumni relations, community engagement, student engagement, stakeholder relations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating,



and delivering events and engagement activities involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with students, alumni, community members, faculty, industry partners, or similar stakeholder groups.
- Experience using CRM or database systems, preferably Raiser's Edge NXT, to support outreach, engagement tracking, and relationship management.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and event coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and independently in a dynamic workplace.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel between campuses and off-site locations as required.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 35 lbs (16 kg), including banners, promotional materials, signage, swag and other event supplies, and to transport these materials to and from events
