SMS Appliances is looking for a reliable, experienced, and motivated Appliance Service Technician to join our growing team.

We are seeking an experienced technician who can work independently, diagnose appliance problems accurately, and provide qualified repair and service to customers.

About the Position The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, maintain, and test household appliances at customer homes and businesses. The position may also include completing appliance repairs at our warehouse or service locations when required.

You will be responsible for providing professional and reliable service, communicating with customers, completing service documentation,



and ensuring repairs are completed safely and properly.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with existing appliance repair experience who can start working with minimal training.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair household appliances at customer locations
- Troubleshoot appliance problems and identify the cause of failures
- Repair and maintain appliances at our warehouse or service locations when required
- Install and test appliances as required
- Service major household appliances, including:
- Refrigerators
- Washers
- Dryers
- Dishwashers
- Stoves/Ranges
- Microwaves
- Communicate professionally with customers and explain repairs or required work
- Complete service reports, repair documentation, and other required records
- Maintain service tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow manufacturer specifications and proper repair procedures
- Follow all workplace safety procedures
- Manage daily service calls and appointments efficiently
- Work independently and take responsibility for completing assigned service calls
- Represent SMS Appliances professionally when working with customers

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as an Appliance Technician, Service Technician, or similar role is required
- Strong appliance troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Hands-on experience repairing major household appliances
- Strong knowledge of appliance components, electrical systems, and mechanical systems
- Ability to diagnose problems accurately and determine appropriate repairs




- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer and mobile device skills for service documentation
- Valid driver's licence
- Clean driving record

Important – Experience Required We are looking for someone who already has solid appliance repair and service experience and can become productive quickly.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable diagnosing and repairing major household appliances, working directly with customers, managing service calls, and completing repairs independently.

This is not an entry-level position. Extensive training will not be provided. We need a technician who can bring existing experience and skills to the team.
