Position Overview:
As a Pro-Tec Automotive Apprentice, you will perform multi-point inspections and repairs to light and medium-duty vehicles of diverse fuel types, effectively and efficiently. Our Fort Saskatchewan location focuses on medium-duty vehicles across all industries and also has a strong focus on servicing school buses.
Our Automotive Apprentice will work on school buses and perform PDIs and small repairs.
As part of the Pro-Tec service team, you will collaborate to overcome challenges and provide innovations that provide valuable service perks to the customer – and positively contribute to a protected and ethical environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performing quality repairs and diagnostics on light/medium-duty vehicles
- Follow service processes and repair procedures.
- PDI's
- Ensuring service documentation is completed as per instructions.
- Familiarize yourself with the company’s safety manual and report any unsafe practices.
- Comply with warranty procedures & warranty materials during repairs.
Position Requirements:
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Proven mechanical abilities, strong working knowledge of mechanical applications.
- Valid Alberta License (will need to supply a recent abstract)
- Organized and a self-motivated individual who can work both independently and in a team setting.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Own Transportation
- Own tools
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Be actively enrolled in the Alberta apprenticeship program and be in good standing (will need to provide documentation) or proof of acceptance into the program with start date.
