Overview The Explorer Academy is seeking for passionate and creative Arts & Craft Teacher to inspire and educate children aged 8–16 through hands-on, imaginative projects. The ideal candidate will nurture a love of artistic expression and craftsmanship while developing students’ fine motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. This position requires a strong understanding of various craft techniques, materials, and safety practices, as well as the ability to create an engaging, supportive, and age-appropriate classroom environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Design and implement fun, age-appropriate arts and crafts activities that spark creativity and self-expression.
- Teach a range of skills and techniques, including drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, paper crafts, fabric crafts, and recycled-material projects.
- Introduce students to cultural and seasonal art traditions to broaden their understanding and appreciation of the arts.
- Assess student participation and project outcomes, providing supportive feedback to boost confidence and creativity.
- Organize and facilitate student art-and-craft showcases or exhibitions to celebrate their work and engage the school community.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate arts and crafts into interdisciplinary projects and events.
- Maintain an organized, colorful, and safe classroom environment stocked with diverse craft materials.
- Model and teach safe handling of tools, materials, and equipment.




- Stay current with trends and new ideas in youth arts and crafts education, incorporating fresh projects and materials into lessons.

Qualifications & Experience

- Experience teaching or leading arts and crafts activities for children and teens (7–16) in school, camp, or community settings.
- Strong knowledge of various arts and crafts mediums, materials, and techniques suitable for young learners.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and facilitation skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of students.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and patience to make learning interactive and fun.
- A portfolio or examples of past student craft projects (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with environmentally-friendly, low-waste, or upcycled craft practices (a plus).
- Certification or background in child education, art education, or related fields (preferred but not required).
