B-Line is a Canadian, family-owned distributor of automotive and tire equipment and supplies. We are looking for an energetic and mechanically inclined Assistant Equipment Service Technician to join our Edmonton team.
This is a hands-on training position working alongside experienced technicians. The goal is to develop into an independent Equipment Service Technician through consistent, measurable progression.
What You'll Do
- Assist with installing vehicle lifts, tire changers, balancers and other shop equipment
- Perform basic repairs, maintenance and equipment inspections
- Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, meters and other service equipment
- Record equipment information, required parts, deficiencies and photos
- Prepare tools and parts and actively support the Lead Technician
- Work professionally at customer locations
- Travel for occasional out-of-town service and installation work
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with tools, mechanical work, hydraulics, or a related trade is an asset
- Dependable, punctual and able to work safely
- Able to follow instructions and become increasingly independent
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's licence
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
Growth & Development As you gain experience, you should require less supervision, take on more complex work, improve your troubleshooting skills and become capable of completing service and installation work independently.
Increased skills and responsibility will lead to opportunities for higher compensation and progression into an Equipment Service Technician role.
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
